Power discrepancies following period of no use

Hi

I haven't been using my PowerPod much recently due to doing some gravel riding and not getting round to running it on that bike. Having completed that event I am back on my normal road bike.

I put it on my bike and on the first ride it seemed to have defaulted to a trainer mode. So last night I turned off trainer mode despite it not being in that mode the last time I used it. I set up a new profile based upon my main profile (worked well previously) and went out this morning. so on the flats my readings are where I would expect however on descents the power would climb initially as I accelerate despite putting less effort and then they would go to zero whilst not peddling and on the climbs the power would be showing well below what I know I would be outputting (90w vs 200w).

I will include my cal ride as that would appear to be the next steps when I get home. I suppose I am surprised that I had this running fine and has only really come about following a period of not using the PowerPod (12 weeks of no use).

Has anybody got any ideas?

Thanks

Please post a .ibr ride file from Isaac and we will figure out what is going on.

1) Attach PP to Isaac.

2) Click the Download button

3) When this window appears, click the "Show Download Window" button

5) The ride files stored in your unit will appear. The file checked is the most recent recorded (irrespective of the date shown), and ride files recorded earlier are listed above, in order of recording.

If the ride dates are wrong it's because your unit was reset. After connecting your unit to Isaac the internal clock will be updated automatically.

Thanks for the super quick response. yes the date are well and truly knackered. I didn't take note of the ride selected and I have now deleted the rides from the powerpod. How would these be written to disk would the most recent be first or last as I could use the modified time stamp.

so logically i think the newest are saved last so I have included these as the mileage of both rides are correct.

Both of these ride files look perfect. I don't see any issues with calibration or operation.

Your next rides should show the correct date and time.

Hi John thanks for the confirmation and the quick replies. So I did a new O&b calibration this morning and that has resolved the issues. I will share this file later as be good to see if my O&B is appropriate.
