Elevation Errors?

Hi,

I've been having problems with my PowerPod v2 reading:
- high on decent when I am barely pedalling and low on decent when I am flat out
- power readings going from normal to 4,000w on a cycle of about 60 seconds.

I've tried recalibration between rides and mid-ride without any luck.

Looking at the data it appear that the elevation is either fluctuating a lot or staying level and then jumping.

Any ideas what I can do?

bb

Look on the side of your PowerPod. There is a small hole where air can enter the interior of the case. Is this hole blocked in any way? If so that would cause the problems you are seeing.

If not, then email technicalsupport@velocomp.com for next steps.

Thanks for the quick reply.

It looks to be clear - you can see something white behind a tiny faring.

I've tried to take a photo but it's not easy without a macro camera. Can you tell?

Good photo! Your baro port looks clear...

I would do a hard reset (Press-hold button for about 12 seconds, until light goes out momentarily then comes back on). Release button

Do a short ride after the reset and post the ride file.

Thanks, I’ll try that tomorrow.

Had a short ride this morning after a full reset.

Unfortunately it looks to still be the same.

I’ve included a screen shot of the profile from my Garmin as a comparison.

email technicalsupport@velocomp.com for next steps. Looks like your elevation sensor is misbehaving... :-(

Thanks John. I’ve done that.
