Watts in descent

Post by ANGEL T »

Hello:
Between the kilometer 30.85 and the kilometer 35.70 I made a downward slope of + -5% of slope with a small rise in the central part and I get 248 w of average power. I have pedaled during the entire descent, but not to the maximum, much less (131 bpm and I have a maximum of 175); if the descent had many more kilometers I could keep that pace if problems and I have an actual ftp of about 223 w.
I think there are many average watts, if I do this same climb, it would be practically impossible to get 248 w media. I attach the file to give me your opinion.
Greetings and thank you.

When descending, any change in ride position is amplified enormously in terms of watts.

If you went into any kind of tuck, or simply became a bit more aero, this would be reflected as an increase in watts. I think this is what is happening in this location.
