powerpod doesn't sync with Isaac, don't show power on ride

I've tried resetting my powerpod by holding down the button for 10 seconds (the LED blinks green a few times, then once blink red and I let the button go -- this takes ~10 seconds) but that is not helping.

When I plug in the USB cable Windows 10 pops up a window that says "USB device not recognized. The last USB device you connected to this compter malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it"

How can I make my PowerPod work again?
