AeroPod, PowerPod and Newton

Is it possible to use a standard (stem) mount when using TT ‘ski’s’ or are the powerpod readings likely to get obstructed by bars/hand position etc.
I have ordered a specific TT combo mount but it won’t have arrived in time for a couple of TT’s I am riding in the next 7 days.

Please post images of your bars and your mount.

I use one of these on the TT bike without any issues.

Mounts on the front of the stem so no interference from hands or position.

It was a test to try it as i couldn't find a suitable mount for the bars.. only downside it doesn't have a stop so i have to make sure the powerpod logo is square to the ground each time, but it has worked just fine.

I'll post a picture of my setup at the weekend. Just to complicate things I will possibly now be using a road bike with clip-ons rather than my TT bike as one of my kids knocked my TT bike over on its side yesterday and it looks like I may need a new rear mech hanger (it must be made of cheese)

This is the stem mount I have. I will need to fit it on the top bolts of the stem rather than the bottom due to the pointed end of the mount. I think this may mean that the airflow into the wind-port will be disturbed by my hands on the aerobars. I might just set it up anyway and do a test ride at the weekend. I have a rough idea of what wattage I should be producing.

Can't see your hands causing an airflow problem unless they are below the Powerpod.. if so you have a fantastic aero position.
