AeroPod, PowerPod and Newton

Hi John,

I had made several changes to my position this spring so thought it best to do a new calibration ride. Three things about this cal ride:

• a bit breezy tonight but the wind was pretty consistent

• I selected "good asphalt" as my road surface, but did the test on fairly good concrete (with some seams). And my riding tends to be about half asphalt blend, maybe 30 percent good asphalt and 20 percent rough asphalt (where I channel my classic rider persona). Should the profile be tweaked based on any of that info?

• I neglected to bring a water bottle, but I'm thinking that's probably decimal dust for cdA?

Also on cdA, I went from 42cm bars to 40 cm bars but didn't know if (or how) that affects surface area and drag. CdA is showing as .379 for bent elbows on hoods...

Everything is in good shape. CdA and Crr are appropriate, and calibration looks fine (though it does look like you were riding in some big winds!).
