AeroPod, PowerPod and Newton

Hello All,
I’m thinking about buying a PP but I’m not sure what’s the best option for me.
I want to pair the PP with a Garmin EDGE 520 and speed/cadence Garmin sensors. My understanding is that ANT will suffice for that.
What I would need BLE for? Perhaps for uploading the PP data onto my Mac so that I can analysed them with the Isaac software? Or for other good reasons?
