Leave PowerPod on Bike while transporting via Roof Rack

Just got my new PP and was wondering if there is a need to remove the PP from bike handle bars during transport on roof rack. My concerns would be 80 mph travel speeds through the wind port while transporting bike on roof rack.

80 mph winds won't bother it, but if you're riding in rain, that could mess-up readings for a while.
