Best head unit for PowerPod?

Hi All,
I would like to synchronise ride data in Isaac (for tuning of my PowerPod), however, I am unable to do so with native .fit files from a Wahoo Elemnt or Garmin 920xt.
I did read that the .fit format has changed and is no longer fully compatible with Isaac (could someone confirm or deny please?)?
The workaround being to use tcx files, however, this appears to lose the lap counters / timings and would appear to be very variable / twitchy / jumpy.
With the above in mind, what is the best way to import data from a head unit? Especially preserving lap counters / timings and accuracy?
For example, Strava users can add "export_tcx" to the end of the activity URL ( https://support.strava.com/hc/en-us/art ... rom-Strava ), however, I would prefer a solution that does not require Internet access (I often find myself in mountains and remote areas with little to no Internet access).
Many thanks
