John, two questions:
1. Can the calibration be done in an open-air velodrome - about 1/3 of a mile loop - or do you absolutely need an out and back? If it can be done in a velodrome will the computer go from 0 all the way to 100W or simply stop at 50W without a "back" ride?
2. I must have omitted to put in my FTP in my profile set-up so it used a very low default number. Can I just correct the number or must I do another calibration ride?
Thx.
Velodrome Calibration
Re: Velodrome Calibration
If you're in a velodrome, for best results you should still do an O&B calibration. However, you can make a few "cheats"
1) Start riding, and go around the track up to the 50W mark
2) At the 50W mark, STOP.
3) Continue riding, up to the 100W (finish) point. You can continue to ride in the same direction.
Yes, you can just input your correct FTP, then send the corrected profile to your PP. You don't have to do a new calibration ride.
