AeroPod, PowerPod and Newton

Is there a way to force the unit into calibration without involving Isaac? I'd like to be able to go to a decent cycle track a few miles away and do an out and back without having to give up the data on the way there.

If you can find someone at the track with a DFPM, then you could do this trick:

1) Have your PP paired to your bike. Ride to the track. PP will record your data

2) At the track, find someone with a DFPM. Do a new pairing, so that PP picks up your sensor and the other guy's DFPM (you'll need to be careful so that you don't pick up the other guy's DFPM)

Whenever PP is first paired to a DFPM, it is forced into O&B calibration mode. So, this would let you calibrate your PP at the track.

I'm going to go with short answer of no for that then. Sorry, don't mean to disparage and I am grateful for your quick response.

Would a button combo calibration feature be something that could be considered for a future firmware update. I know a great smooth stretch I could calibrate on, but I'm loathe to lose my data.

Rather than forcing a recalibration. The unit does a good job of recalibrating itself after a few minutes if riding. Some way to tell it "this is the new normal" would be grand.

I think I misunderstood your question.

You're correct that the PP is constantly recalibrating itself. You don't have to do anything except ride.

There is a formal, Out and Back calibration procedure, which is different from the auto-recalibration. I thought you were asking about that.

Unless you are trying to do an out-and-back, you don't have to do anything special.
