AeroPod, PowerPod and Newton

Today I've completed a regular 31.5 mile ride however when I've uploaded the data to Isaac the file name is suffixed "18" miles and the ride file records 22.72 miles. Total ride time is also different. The Powerpod data also records many speed dropouts. These dropouts are not seen in the data from my Garmin head unit.
I've attached the .ibr file together with images from Garmin Connect - one the clean speed graph and the second with the power data as an overlay. Interestingly Garmin Connect has recorded power over the 31 miles distance.
Would it be possible to review these and advise why there are time and distance discrepencies and so many speed dropots in Isaac but not in Garmin and how to resolve.

Your ride file shows a lot of speed sensor dropouts. This is what is causing your shorter ride file.

It looks like you're using a GSC-10. Sometimes these work well and sometimes they don't. We do not recommend them.

If you get a magnet less speed sensor for your front hub this problem will disappear.

I've seen this suggestion on the forum many times. However before purchasing the magnetless sensor is it possible to say why the Garmin head unit consistently gets the signal from the GSC10 whilst the Powerpod doesn't.

We have observed that the new generation of magnet-less sensors have stronger signals. We have had great success with them.

The GSC-10 has been in production for many years and it is likely that, during this time, its internal design has changed. In fact, we have seen that some versions of GSC-10 work better than others.

Why? We aren't Garmin...they own ANT and perhaps they have found tricks that they are not sharing (they are not obligated to tell so we don't have any gripes about this).

When driving I find that my cell phone sometimes cuts out, inexplicably, when my wife's phone next to me is working just fine.

Radios stuff is, at some level, mysterious.

It's only right that I feedback to the forum after the problem I was having with speed dropouts. As recommended magnetless speed and cadence sensors have been fitted and my problems have disappeared. Thanks for taking the time to respond.
