TT Bike Setup

Hi there

Have a new Powerpod and it seemed pretty good on my road bike.
I am now in the process of setting it up on my TT bike and have the benefit of a Power2max dfpm to compare and tweak the calibration.
The problem is the powerpod seems waaay out I cannot bring it even close. The CDA it seems to come up with is around 0.353 which I would consider very high for a TT setup.
I have attached the file and hopefully this has the dfpm comparison included.
I did the check calibration and it changed somewhat.
The ride started and finished in the same location and includes a steady climb home. The power comparison here is fairly close as to be expected using my height/weight.
My TT position has me with a horizontal back if not slightly down with a slight curve to it. Aero road helmet, tight fitting bibs and top and deep wheels and 21c Tubeless clincher tyres.
Can anyone see where I have fiddled and made a correction i should not have?

Please post the .ibr ride file. That is the file that can be opened in Isaac.

Here is a ride from the day before I did as a cal ride, the start and stop was the same location except for the hill at the end back to home. I have attached the profile extracted from that ride

Your TT profile is close but, somehow, your Crr was set to 0.009--this is like riding your TT bike in sand!

Corrected profile is attached; load into your PP. With this profile you should get solid results on your TT bike.

Corrected ride file attached, too.

Hi John

I have attached another ride from today that still shows the Power pod being significantly different from the Power2max dfpm.
Any thoughts?
Is it possibly my TT munt that is causing the much higher peaks?

I have visited NZ (I LOVE IT THERE!!!) and I have very fond memories of my visit to Christchurch.

Your PP readings are, overall, very close to your DFPM. I think it is working just fine.

However, there is a bit more variation in your PP readings. I know that NZ has a lot of chip-seal roads. If you're riding on rough roads and your mount is not rock-solid stiff, or if your PP is mounted on aero bars that flex, that could cause some variation.
