PowerPod will not charge or connect to PC/MAC

About 2 months ago I purchased a PowerPod. Plugged it in, saw the right light come on, came back a while later, the light was off. Rode with the PowerPod a couple times got got reasonable data from it on my head unit.
I wasn't ever able to connect it to the Isaac software, but figured it was doing "good enough" for my purposes.
Went to use the PowerPod again last weekend and it wouldn't turn on. Verified my speed sensor is sending data. Pushed the button on the PowerPod with no led response. Plugged the PowerPod back in, no lights, nothing.
AFAICT the PowerPod is simply not charging, likely due to a defect in the USB port -- which would likely explain the problems I had with connecting it to the Isaac software.
So what's the next step here? I've essentially got an expensive paperweight that was only good for 2 rides.
