AeroPod, PowerPod and Newton

I was just thinking of a handy little Connect IQ app that even with mechanical gear groups could show which gears you are riding. What if you input the data of your cassette and chain rings (size and numbers). Coupled with all the opposing force data as well as wheel size, speed and cadence shouldn't it be possible to calculate, display and store the gears you are riding?

Why does this always happen to me?? I have a great idea and then I realize that someone else already has developed it Seems that in Connect IQ there is already a Gear Ratio app..... I will give it a try.
