CALI ride and 1 after. Is it OK?

Post by TonySJ »

Hi,
I've not used my PowerPod for a long time, possibly 2 years, but have a new road bike so I thought Id try and get using again.
I've done a few CALI rides, 3 or 4, but power numbers seemed way high.
I think I've sorted it as it wasn't level on the mount but still the power numbers seem a little high.
I'm 79kg, bike is 8.5kg, with an FTP of 210W, 1.78 tall ride on the hoods on 28mm tyres with butyl inners.
CALI ride is on a flat road other than the first 100m were there's a slight incline and at halfway I had gone round a small roundabout before it counted to 50. I stopped went round the roundabout again before going back along the mainly flat road. Not much wind on this ride, dry and sunny.
The PP after the CALI ride appeared to be displaying reasonably accurate power numbers but after the first ride after the setup and CALI ride it appears a little high for the Watts and lowish speeds.

I've posted both rides and hopefully they can be checked please.

Any further info please ask. Thanks
TonySJ.

Here is how you can check things:

1) Connect your unit to VA. You will see a green box around the USB icon. Open your ride in VA

2) Click on "Laps" in the middle left (which will then be highlighted in blue), then click on the laps you wish to check (in your case there is only one lap). The selected lap(s) will be highlighted in blue

Hi John,
Ive triEd what you suggest but my Isaacs version, 5.1.0 , does show any Laps tag only the Power numbers in a box.
Any idea why? as I cant go any further with it at this point.

You need to download and install our new Velocomp Aero software, available here:

All your old Isaac ride files can be opened in VA.
