First Ride Calibration Check
First Ride Calibration Check
Hi,
First time owner here. Finally managed to pair all sensors and perform a calibration ride - not ideal though several stops and generally uphill followed by downhill...
Completed First ride and have no idea if my numbers are remotely correct.
Mountain Bike 29er with 700x40cc Slicks ( I was unable to select this tire size) riding on road.
any guidance appreciated

Re: First Ride Calibration Check
Yes, this looks absolutely fine. It looks like your sensors all paired correctly, your bike/rider parameters are fine, and your cal ride was good!
Enjoy...
Enjoy...

Re: First Ride Calibration Check
Thank you for the quick reply!
Do I need to configure anything different for Mountain bike?
Can I configure profile to allow for 700 x 40cc tires?

Re: First Ride Calibration Check
No.
Measure the circumference of your tires, and enter them manually using Isaac.

Re: First Ride Calibration Check
Hi John,
The option for editing the Wheel Circumference in Isaac is "greyed out" I only have options from the drop down list - these predefined values do not match
I am looking at my profile information

Re: First Ride Calibration Check
1) Connect PP to Isaac. Look for the green box around the USB icon
2) Go to Edit/Edit Profiles. The profile of your unit should be highlighted; if not click the "Extract from Device" button
3) In the Tire Sidewall Marking drop down menu, select "Measured"
4) Enter your tire circumference, then click "Send to Device"
That should fix things. Depending on how big a change you made, you may have to do a new cal ride.

Re: First Ride Calibration Check
Thank you John,
That was going to be my next question - if I want to perform another calibration does this need to be initiated from the "setup device" in the Isaac software?
Will this create a new profile? Or can I setup with an existing?
Am I required to re-pair sensors when performing a new calibration?

Re: First Ride Calibration Check
You're asking a lot of questions which are addressed in the instructions. Please consult the instructions. If you don't find the answers there then ask them here...Thomas wrote: ↑Fri Aug 06, 2021 7:12 pm Thank you John,

Understand - thanks.
Re: First Ride Calibration Check
Hi John,
I read the Isaac Instructions cover-to-cover, so hopefully no more unnecessary questions!
1. Recalibrated the PP and entered the correct tire circumference and bike weight
2. I performed an O&B ride and upon completion clicked the PP button 5 times to stop.
3. Clicked the PP Button once and completed a ~40min test ride. (again I clicked the PP button 5 times to turn it off)
4. When I connect the PP to my computer and select Get Rides there are 2 available 1 x 400m ride? and 1 x 22KM ride = my 40min test ride. I was expecting to see a calibration ride? 5. I then check the 22KM ride and adjusted the CCR based on the Model/Pressure I am running. I took the data from bicylerollingresistance.com I run at 4.1 Bar as opposed to the estimated 7.48 Bar would this be the right type of adjustment for me to make?
For the most part the displayed Watts seemed logical on climbs in a medium gear 300-400Watts, however, often once I had crested the climb, changed into a high gear and was (I felt) applying alot of force on the flat the power would drop into low 100-150Watts - is this simply the PP adjusting or a delay?
Not sure if I Calibrated correctly or not?

Re: First Ride Calibration Check
Attached post ride recording + after CCR adjustment. Would appreciate a quick check, however, understand I have probably taken up enough of your time this week!!
