PowerPod 2 bikes
PowerPod 2 bikes
I have 2 bikes but use the same speed sensor and cadence sensor on both bikes. Will the PP recognise automaticly each bike?
Re: PowerPod 2 bikes
The "Automatic Profile Selection" feature requires unique speed sensors for each bike (PowerPod matches the sensor ID to the bike).
You can create two separate profiles for your two bikes, and you can use the same sensors for both bikes. If you do this, however, you will have to manually switch profiles using Isaac or the PowerHouse Bike app.

Re: PowerPod 2 bikes
Can I clarify that if you select profile to use in Issac does this affect the profile automatically being picked up if you then use a different bike?
I notice that if I have chosen the Set Active Device Profile in Issac option and then end up using a different bike it does not automatically recognise the profile.
For example I had selected my road bike in Issac but then went on a ride on the CX and PowerPod did not recognise the profile and would not connect. The following day I used my road bike and it worked without an issue.
Have noticed this happening before where I have had to go back to the PC and reset the Active Device Profile.

I don't understand what you are saying. Do you have different speed sensors for your two bikes?spangelsaregreat wrote: ↑Sat Apr 11, 2020 6:47 am Can I clarify that if you select profile to use in Issac does this affect the profile automatically being picked up if you then use a different bike?

Re: PowerPod 2 bikes
Yes I have different speed sensors.
I am asking why PowerPod does not seem to automatically select the right profile for your bike if you have already used the Set Active Profile in Issac and send it to the PowerPod.
In this example I:-
- Set Active Profile in Issac to Profile 2 which is my road bike and sent this to the PowerPod when it was connected to the PC.
- The following day went for a ride on my Gravel bike which is Profile 4 in my PowerPod. It did not connect to this bikes speed sensor (green light kept flashing) for the whole ride. Tried turning the PowerPod off and on again (this sometimes fixes when it does not connect) and even tried a hard reset.
- The next day went for a ride on my road bike (profile 2) and it connected first time.
So I am asking does using the Set Active Profile option in Issac then somehow stop the automatic profile recognition working?
In general the automatic profile recognition works flawlessly across all 4 bikes I have but where I have Set the Active profile in device command it seems to stop it working. I have had this issue previously.

Re: PowerPod 2 bikes
I have not seen this problem personally but this might be a bug. I have forwarded your post to our developer, who will investigate.
