Watts seem low

Post by ygaudet »

Hello,

I am a new user and I'm wondering if I have things set up properly as I find my watts are pretty low. Last night I pushed pretty hard and while it was reflected in my average speed, my watts are still low. I've been reading other posts and my Crr looks normal as does my wind scaling. I've attached my ride from last night and am hoping someone can assist.

Thanks
Yo

I agree your watts are low. You can fix this with an out and back calibration.

Please see these links for instructions:

Thanks for the help. I will try that in the next few days.

This URL isn't working for me. I get a URL signature expired error message.

Hi,

I did the out and back this morning. It looked like it did as described in documentation but when I got to the 100 it cycled back to 0 and started counting up again. At this point I hit the button, probably a few times. it then locked up at 50 and stayed there no matter what I did. I would get the flashing green/red and if I pressed button, it would turn orange again so thought perhaps it wanted to continue on but it just stayed at 50 even with powering it completely off and back on. There are a few files on the device but I think this is the one that captures the out and back ride. I don't know if it's valid or not.

I just completed another O&B with the same results. I re-read the instructions before I left and really wanted to make sure that when I hit 50 that I saw the red light before stopping and turning. The test goes exactly as described but when I get to 100 it does not start showing "normal" watts. It blink red several times and when I turned to head home, it started flashing red/green again and if I pressed the button, it flashed orange and stayed at 50. I'm attaching the 3 files that I ended up with. Thanks in advance for your support.

Hi again,

I expect that my repaired/replaced powerpod will arrive any day now. After charging and installing, do I just do the regular 5 minute calibration ride or is it better to do the Out and Back?

Thanks

I would take a little bit of extra time and do a new O&B calibration.

Make sure you go through the complete sequence, including sensor pairing.
