yellow light no power reading
yellow light no power reading
I have been using pp BLE in ant+ mode with a bryton 530 bike computer without any problems at all for 2 months now. On my last group ride pwr was very high...like 2000w on flat ground. The next day it was fine. 3rd day out no pwr reading at all and yellow light is on perpetually as in it didn't turnoff for over an hour. I get no pwer reading at all just "---". I have done a hard reset, and reset all profiles, then attempted a new cal ride but to no avail just a yellow light that never goes off. All other sensors working properly and reading fine. plz help!!
Re: yellow light no power reading
Do the following:
1) Press-hold the PP button continuously for about 10 seconds, until the light goes out momentarily, then reappears. This is a hard reset
2) Once the device turns on, what color is the light? Is it flashing?
Do you have Isaac installed on your computer? Report back and we will provide next steps.

Re: yellow light no power reading
The light comes back on red for about 1-2 sec, yes i have isaac installed. There are no ride files saved including cal ride, all were wiped during reset i believe. Just for added clarification the pp pairs to me spd/cad sensor with flashing green light that turns solid when paired, Then yellow comes on for cal ride but that's all i get. I hope it's just me not knowing what I'm doing but i've been using it without error for weeks now. Thanks for a quick reply.
Re: yellow light no power reading
OK, if your light was solid green after pairing, then turned solid yellow, then your PowerPod is primed for a calibration ride.
Because you have used Isaac, it's possible that you are in Out and Back calibration mode. We need to find out...
Please do the following:
1) Wake up your bike's speed sensor by spinning the wheel
2) Wake up PP. Light should be solid yellow (as you report)
3) Spin the wheel of your bike that is associated with bike speed sensor. Your bike computer should show bike speed
4) After a few seconds, the PP light should either start flashing yellow, or start flashing red/green.
5) Once you see the PP flashing light, you can stop spinning the bike wheel
Please let me know what happens in Step 4. That will make it possible to resolve your situation.

Re: yellow light no power reading
So I followed you're steps and it's fixed now i was able to do the 5 min cal ride, in very windy conditions lol. When switching between indoor and outdoor modes should i "save" in isaac or just "send to newton" and not save, also when downloading ride files if I tell it to erase after download could it have erased my previous cal ride? just a thought. Either way I love you're product and appreciate the fast response.
Re: yellow light no power reading
I have same issue but IM. Pairing to garmin edge 500 and garmin fenix 3. Not sure if this is the issue but I have Isaac software I did a hard reset, sensors detected but when calibrating No info didplayed in both devices
Re: yellow light no power reading
Awaken your speed sensor. Spin the wheel on your Garmin to confirm that speed sensor is awake.
Next, awaken your PP. After a few seconds its light should go to solid green...which means it is paired to your speed sensor. If it does not turn solid green then press-hold PP button for 12 seconds to do a hard reset. Pairing (solid green) should then work.
If you are still not getting solid green, do a new sensor pairing and cal ride.
Only when light is solid green (or yellow after pairing) can PP be paired to Garmin.

Re: yellow light no power reading
1. I awake speed and cadence sensors (garmin shows values in both métrics)
2 Turn on pp
3. Inmediately after turning on pp light is yellow (no flashing, no green, Inmediately yellow) keep moving pedals with my hand and still solid yellow.
4 while yellow tríed to connect garmin fenix 3 it got conectes but when clicking on calibrate fenix shows error1.
With garmin edge find for power meter it got detected and when calibrate nothing is didplayed and still solos yellow.
Downloaded app power house and nothing is didplayed. Sensors and pp are detected with the check mark but when doing 5min test nothing is didplayed. Heeeelp
Update
1 hard reset
2 awake sensors and power pp
3 pairing with both devices fenix 3 and garmin edge when clicking on calibration both states successful calibration 0 variación.
4 Turn off all. Items
5 Turn on devices awake sensors and tried to ride mi bike... No data is show in fenix nor edge...
Still not working but at least I somehow paired devices.
More steps needed to make it work

Re: yellow light no power reading
Our instructions do not say to use the Garmin to calibrate PowerPod! The "Calibrate" button on your Garmin has no effect on PowerPod operation.
If you are seeing a solid yellow light, then PP is paired to your speed sensor. It also appears that PP is paired to your Garmin.
What our instructions do say to do is to start riding your bike. After a few seconds the solid yellow light will start flashing red/green; click the button of your POWERPOD (not your Garmin) to start calibration.
Please refer to the instructions shipped with your PowerPod. You are close to getting it fully operational.
