PowerPod and Speed Sensor

Hi:

If I'm not wrong I think that PowerPod needs a speed sensor to pair with in. I was think to acquire only a cadence sensor like this one:

The question is: As I have a Suunto Ambit3, would it be possible for the PowerPod to obtain the speed data from my Ambit3 by pairing it with the PowerPod? If this is possible then it wouldn't be necessary to buy an independent speed sensor and it would be only necessary a cadence sensor.

If it is not possible then I need to acquire the Wahoo speed/cadence sensor.
