First ride with POWERPOD downhill plain Problems with the w
Hello I Just Made the first exit with POWERPOD and noticed anomalies in the calculation of the power in pedaling PHASES downhill and in the plains. InOLTRE it SEEMS POWERPOD That does not take into account the wind direction and intensity.

There are two places, around mile 2, and later at mile 9, where your PP rotated in its mount. Make sure your PP is rock-solid in the mount. If it is not you will see odd power readings while it recalibrates itself.
Other readings look OK.

Re: First ride with POWERPOD downhill plain Problems with th
ok now I have properly set the POWERPOD unit on the handlebars, and seems to work better, to get a new calibration is necessary to take a ride on lonely without companions (not to affect the wind)?
Re: First ride with POWERPOD downhill plain Problems with th
Yes, that would be best. Please post your ride file and we will check it.

Re: First ride with POWERPOD downhill plain Problems with th
This is today's output graph unfortunately done so in the group can not use it to make the calibration What do you think? are not a little too many times when the power is 0?

Your ride file looks fine.
Overtime you stop pedaling, cadence goes to zero and so does power. Since this is group ride, you will do a lot of start-stopping. So your zero power is normal.

Today I made a new turn, a measure of power in salit it seems a bit overestimated, got home, I tried to use the output file today to calibrate the POWERPOD but there was a problem with Fric value that is out scale (is negative) it depends on what?

Frankly, I see nothing wrong with your ride file. You are climbing some steep hills and you are a strong rider. Enjoy!
It looks like you did some drafting in this ride; if so, Check Calibration will NOT work.
I would leave things alone and go ride...

The watts calculated is too high compared to what other powermeter have found today and also with respect to the ambrosini formula with the necessary approximations of the case. Because I got a fric negative value?

I don't know why this particular correction is being proposed.
What I do know is that you should NOT change your profile, so this correction is not an issue.

I would like to ask you some inormazioni referring to installation of the POWERPOD.
1-Even tightening the screw at most POWERPOD can still be rotated slightly forward and back when pressed with your hand is right it should be so attached, or even more closely in order to eliminate even this small movement?
2-
The unit must be securely attached POWERPOD turning it up or down?
3-If I stop pedaling the powerpdo takes 5 seconds to signal power equal to 0, is that correct? Also sometimes downhill though not pedalo me still a positive balance of power.
4-
Within a day in the rain the POWERPOD started to write down an under power, after giving a little tap with his hand at the POWERPOD this has taken to score properly depends on what?
Thank you

Re: First ride with POWERPOD downhill plain Problems with th
1. Look at the attached illustration. Make sure your mount is attached properly, so that the mount screw goes into the FLAT side of the mount. Yes, the screw should be tightened enough so that the PP cannot rotate
2. I don't understand your question
3. Make sure your Garmin does not have long-term power smoothing turned on.
4. After you clear the wind port of water, readings should go back to normal
