TRACKER WILL NOT UPLOAD

Purchased the tracker key 11 August 2017 and did the first ride 12 August 2017
The tracker app recorded time only, plus the information did not upload to cloud as I did not receive a confirmation.
In addition the google earth icon does not turn blue.
The ride would not appear in My Rides.
Whilst going over all the steps etc, the ride from today has disappeared
I have gone over all the steps to check I did everything correct.
Where have i gone wrong ?
