indoor speed data to Strava

Post by pajobv »

When i am using the iBike Dash+Power(Powerhouse app) on my indoor trainer there is no speed data after uploading the file to Strava. Is this a known problem?

Strava requires GPS information to function properly.

When riding indoors your GPS information is essentially a single point. I don't know how Strava works but I suspect it doesn't handle single locations very well.

When you upload to Strava there is the option to make it a stationary trainer, no GPS info is needed.

Here's a link to a couple of trainer rides much earlier this year when I did indoor trainer sessions with my Gen3. The same will apply to Newton/iDash+Power rides.
