I typically do not use the fit files from my powerpod, instead I use it like a conventional power-meter by letting it publish my power data to my Garmin.
If I use it that way do I ever really need to connect my powerpod to my computer to erase the data files?
How does the powerpod deal with the fit files on it when it fills up with data?
need to clear powerpod data periodically?

PP records your ride data in the background.
If you're not using PP to download files to Isaac, there is nothing you have to do.
Once its memory is full your PP it won't accept any additional ride data, but its data transmission function will be unchanged.

Thanks. Wasn't sure if it was doing FIFO (first in first out) to determine what to loose. Makes sense though.
