Wind sensor seem off

Post by still-chasing »

I did an out and back ride today. The power seem off and when I downloaded the file to Isaac, It shows that I have a tailwind both ways. Would you mind checking the file if there are signs of error? Thanks.
P.s. my set up is a TT bike using RWS, headset mount.

You can use the Analyze/Check Calibration...feature to fix this.

Corrected file attached.

Either your RWS port location moved, or its wind port plug was not completely inserted, or you need to do a Cal Wind.

Before changing the profile I would check the above and try another short ride.

Thanks John. This is not the first time this happened. With my last incident, the tech support suggest I do a new Cal Ride and this is the product of it and been riding this profile. My workouts have been somewhat demoralizing because I can't hit my target watts. Before each ride, I check "wind Cal" and set the elevation. RWS windport was never moved and locked down tight. Could there be something wrong with the Newton sensors?

Please post some ride files from your older problems, and post some photos of your bike setup.

I don't think there is anything wrong with your Newton. My suspicion is that something is not quite consistent about your RWS setup.
