dead newton?

I can't seem to wake up newton+. The unit was plugged in on Sunday but only 25% charged when I went for ride... screen was blank initialy and required a hard reset to "wake up"
Teh newton switched to a cal ride which I aborted and did the ride. I was able to download this ride, but later I noted that the screen was blank while plugged in to computer and was supposed to be charging. I have tried resetting, plugging and unplugging the usb and switching between different ports and no response.
what next?
