My iBike reset itself during my ride yesterday.
Not sure what caused it, must have been some combination of buttons I was pressing during the ride, but it was alarming.
A friend of mine had this just happen this last week during the Battenkill race.
Anyone else see this or know what caused it?
FWIW - My unit is a very early Newton, my friend's is brand new this season.

Re: iBike reset during ride
It's frustrating when this happens, but as difficult as it is to do, it is possible.
Pressing the left, down, right, and bottom buttons simultaneously causes a hard reset.
If you're "fat fingered" in a ride, a hard reset can happen, even if you're trying to push just a single button.
This is something we will address in a future hardware improvement, but in the mean time, be careful with your finger placement!

Hmmm, I'll make note of that. Never had it before, but I suppose it is possible.
When's the next hardware due?

Re: iBike reset during ride
I have fat finger reset my Newton numerous times especially when wearing winter gloves. Very frustrating. I've learned to set it to the screen I want at the start and not touch it especially during a race.

While racing it's a good idea to not mess with ANY kind of electronic equipment!
