GT key: output disable?

I'd like to know how to disable the power data transmission from my newton GT, for saving my battery life. Is this possible, and how?

If you have a GT key installed there isn't a way to disable the Pout feature. However, the GT feature consumes essentially zero extra power, so having it enabled has no meaningful effect on battery life.
