AeroPod, PowerPod and Newton

I'm interested in using the iBike in conjunction with a standard wrist mounted HRM for Tri/Duathlons. Does anyone have a list of HRM's that would be compatible? Is the iBike HR strap water resistant?

I would expect any ANT+ compatible HRM watch should work with the iBike HRM strap, the Garmin 405 is the only one I have found and also gives you GPS capabilities and you can purchase it without the strap. Interestingly the Garmin and iBike straps look identical apart from the logo. It won't record power from the iBike though, but it does mean you only need to wear one strap which I assume is what you are trying to achieve?

Garmin makes our HR straps, and probably ALL ANT+Sport HR straps.

Does anyone know if the Garmin 305 HR strap (not sure if its ANT) would work with the iBike?

Yes it will.

Thanks Fernando. I should have also asked, will wireless cadence/speed sensor for the Garmin Edge 305 also work with the iBike?

The speed/cadence sensor for the 305 is the same used for the 705. The wireless features of the iBike work great with this.
