I have the iMount kit on my bike with an external battery. I have a couple questions.
1) In setup in battery mode does the value there include the external battery or just the cr2032 in the iBike?
2) Does the external battery help power the iBike or just the speed and cadence sensors and the cr2032 takes complete care of the iBike itself?
I do thank you for any help and information
Chris
A question on the external battery option
Re: A question on the external battery option
Hi chonbike,
1. setup is unaware of external battery but if you watch the voltage display live while attaching the iBike to the mount, you will see the voltage change from the internal battery to the external battery. It is interesting to watch this when attaching to the USB too.
2. The external battery powers the iBike which intern powers the sensors. If you look at the wiring diagram posted someplace on this forum, you can see that the sensors are separate connections to the iBike.
