Rode in the rain and water got in my ibike (visible in screen) and stopped working. Put it in a bag of rice which dried it out and all is fine now. Suggestions on how to waterproof??

I have had success with clear packing tape over the screen (overlapped enough to seal the crack between screen and case). I also use a remote wind sensor in rain, and this keeps the wind port from ingesting water in heavy rain. If I know I will be out in the rain for a significant period, I also wrap the crack between the mount and the iBike with electrical tape. I lost one wireless mount when water got into the battery cover and corroded one of the contacts. So I also cover the mount with plastic if I am transporting the bike on the rack on a rainy day. You might want to pop the cover on your mount and make sure it is dry in there after your recent wet ride.

I suggest you pay very close attention to how it functions now. I had the same thing happen. I realized later that the seepage occurred because the screen had become detached along one side, and there was enough space between the screen and the iBike body for water to accumulate and then to seep behind the screen. Mine, too, started working again after a few days, but then later it started malfunctioning badly. At iBike headquarters, they discovered the PCB had corroded badly.

The very best thing to do is to return the unit to us. If it's in warranty we will take care of it without charge; if out of warranty, the repair is less expensive than the cost of a new unit.
