ibike unit and software dont match

Hi,

I have a strange problem.
The watt number i see on the ibike dont match the numbers i see in the software.
For instance i did a interval workout, where the unit reports avg. 344 watt and software 332 watt.
The overall NP and IFF scores are also different.

If i in the software click the "return to original download" then the numbers match exactly with the unit.
So what can i trust, the unit or the software and even better how do i get them to match ?

I export all my data to WKO+, and it sees the "original" power numbers (the higher numbers) and it would be sad if i need to correct my historical data downwards :-(

regards
Tommy

It sounds like you have the software Auto Fine Tuning as it brings in the data, It is doing a power Analysis automatically. In the Ibike 3 software you can go to menu item Edit choose Preferences and in the Analysis Tab you can un-Click the Auto Fine Tune Ride Data option. Then you can do the analysis manually as you like.

Hope this helps

Chris

auto fine tuning is not checked, but you are right the numbers is a result of a power analysis.
It performs the analysis by itself even though it is not checked.

which data should i believe in, pre or post power analysis ?

My suggestion is to attach the ride file here on the forum and one of the Ibike Team will look at it and give you the correct answer, they are the best when it comes to helping out.

Good luck

Chris

You are right, i have attached the file.
It consist of a short warmup, then 4 intervals and cooldown
Intervals are out in headwind then rest, then back in tailwind, then repeat.

another thing i find strange, is the ibike consistant reports high watt in tailwind, and lower watt in headwind on the same PE. The intervals in this files shows this as well, as they are all-out efforts and watt are highest in tailwind.
