Remote Wind sensor problems
Remote Wind sensor problems
My gen iii iAero is consistently not picking up the sensors at about 45 minutes of riding. When I take the iAero off the stem mount there is a lot of moisture between the unit and the stem mount. This did not happen before I used the RWS. It does not happen when I ride on my trainer. I live in Tenn, and ride mostly in the morning when it is very humid and moist. But have never ridden in the rain with this unit. That extreme moisture does not build up on my road bike where I don't use the RWS. It is making my unit worthless. Because once it happens, I can't get it to work again until I stop dry everything off and restart everything. This RWS was supposed to fix my problems on the tri bike but has only given me a whole set of new issues.

We've never heard of this problem before.
There should be a clear gasket on your Gen III surrounding the 6 electrical pins that protrude from the bottom of the iBike. Is this gasket in working order?
If possible please send a photo of your iBike's bottom grey part, zoomed in on the electrical pins. Also, please send a photo of your stem mount setup.

Re: Remote Wind sensor problems
Are you taking the unit directly from an air conditioned environment and begin using it while it is still "cold" relatively speaking? The chill of the unit combined with the high humidity could lead to condensation...

Gasket looks fine to me. I am out of town the next few days will have to post pictures next week. Also the bike is usually outside 10-15mins before I ride, so it has time to adjust to outside temps.Velocomp wrote:We've never heard of this problem before.
