RIP Newton?

Post by wormscoffer »

Hello

Is the Newton now defunkt? I can't see it for sale in your shop.

I have a Newton 5 which I still use and wondered how long support for this will continue? Will firmware updates still be released?

Also, the manual seems rather out of date and I can't see what options my serial has installed.

(XX-XX-XX-08)

I have a Garmin Epix, Brim Bothers Zone and iBike Newton so just wondering if I should get myself a pet Dodo?

TIA

The Newton 6 is available from a European source:

http://www.skopre.com/product/newton/

Velocomp has, however, stopped all development on the Newton. Something new is in the works...

To find out what options are on your Newton, go to Device/Unlock Feature/Get Unlock Status...

Your features will be displayed.

What is planned upgrade path for the Newton? Is to the Power Pod or is there a new device in the works?

We always have something new coming...we worked on it at Eurobike, but at this point it is too early to talk about.
