newton on rain

Hi,
i had a 4 day race, and 3 of those days were under rain almost of the time. so my newton was crazy lolol ! i was climbing 4000watts :lol:

is there any thing i can do, to prevent this?

Please post your ride file. Also, please post photos of the front of your Newton and also the bottom (where the USB port is).

i only have this one today, the bike is on the way home .only in 2 or 3 days i can take pictures

You have one of the original Newton models. If you do a lot of riding in rainy conditions you should upgrade to Newton 6.

i was racing, couldn´t choose.

i have read in the past, that ibike newton worked in the rain.

just a sugestion, put in the an option on issac to export files without watts. i´m having a lot of trouble doing it.

i whant to calculate HR - TSS IF in wko4

Bruno,

I upgraded my newton to the Newton 6 (it is a body upgrade for a Newton 5 - if you have that). Otherwise the best technical solution for older Newtons is the 'remote wind sensor' which is a hose with collection horn and a back end plug to fit the wind port.
This will block rain from being able to clog the wind port. I had one on my old Newton, worked in the rain.

The Newton 6 body upgrade has also made a non-issue for me. The older Newtons did have some weakness in heavy rain.
There is a repair ride file for blocked wind sensor feature in Isaac you can use too.

made it diferent. newton is a great tool to start using with watts, i love it. but i got so depedent in the watts that when it did not work, the race whent very wrong...
