My Newton screen, FW 5.09, has frozen showing 'trnr' 'on' can change it to 'off', can get 'lap' to show when pressing Total, but otherwise nothing happens. Have left it for 30 mins connected to PC, and unconnected the screen doesn't change.
Had just completed a 20 min Functional threshold test on my indoor trainer. Have downloaded the data.

You need to do a hard reset:
1) press the left, bottom, right and center buttons simultaneously. If this works your screen will go blank and your Newton will restart. If that does not work then try 2)
2) Press-holld the center button, continuously, for about 10 seconds, until the screen goes blank and your unit reboots.
Either 1) or 2) will fix your problem.
