Creating a lap marker while riding

Post by cat5fred »

Hello everyone,

New to ibike Newton. So far everything has been great. Very pleased with it. I previously used a Polar power meter which was fine the first 3 years but steadily went down after that.

Question: I know I can create a separate file by pressing the center button and later merge them in Isaac, with each merged file separated by a lap marker.
But is there a way to create a lap marker while riding without creating a separate file?
Sorry if this has been asked before, I did search the forum but didn't see a thread about this.

Press-hold left arrow for a bit.

Yes, that worked. Thanks.
Now, if only a lap timer would be available for display that would be perfect.

You could use the "TT/Interval" mode* which displays Ave Power, current power and interval duration.
A single press centre will trigger new intervals (ie similar to laps) including restart of the duration

* For more info see page 38 of instructions: "SPECIAL FEATURE #3: “TIME-TRIAL INTERVAL WORKOUTS”
