Garmin compatability

Post by moyses3 »

Thinking about purchasing the Newton+ but i have a few questions before i leap in.
1. Is the unit compatible with my current Garmin speed/cadence sensor? Or do i need the iBike version?
2. Can a remote wind sensor be purchased for the Newton+? I checked the website and there is no picture in the "mount & sensor" page of the iBike shop.
3. Is it compatible with my Garmin Heart Rate monitor strap (from a 910xt)?
4. Is it compatible with my Jetblack Z1 fluid trainer?
Thanks in advance for any replies.

The data can be sent directly to the Garmin as long as the Newton or Newton+ has the GT Firmware installed. This firmware can always be added post purchase, or if you are ordering the device directly from iBike, they will load the Firmware before sending. You can always export the file from the Isaac software, then upload it to Training peaks as well.
