How do I turn my Newton off?

Post by Prachetas »

it just stays on. I am about to take a 700 mile bike trip and want to conserve battery life. There is no where in the directions about how to make the screen go blank. Please help :D :D

It should turn itself off after about 5 minutes.

If this does not happen then do a hard reset (simultaneously hold left, down, right, and center buttons). Make sure to reset date and time after the hard reset.

Make sure your battery is fully charged, too.

Can you turn it off like the the iBike pro? Ie. go through setup to the battery level and press the centre button?
