One of the surprises from your postings is the importance of the GT feature.
Since it isn't free for us to port the GT key over to the Newton, it is appropriate to charge for it.
However, it's clear many of you would prefer to have your pre-orders ship with the GT key installed, instead of the extra-bike mount. That is good feedback and we appreciate your bringing this to our attention.
So, we are changing our pre-order Trade-In plan so that you can select between GT key or extra-bike mount.
For those of you who have already submitted pre-orders, send us an email telling us which option you would prefer (GT key or mount).

Now that is being responsive to feedback! This new trade-up offer pretty well erases my concerns. Thanks.
Re: You speak, we listen: pre-order options
Thanks John. That is a very fair solution.

Thanks a bunch John! y'all are the best!

John,
great to hear it is finally available. I had heard some things when I missed you end of January. I had to keep my mouth shut. It looks great looking forward to own it that will be a great computer.
The only thing missing now is a GPS to capture GPS points for the route and it would be perfect.
Pre-ordering now. Just need to wait for the stem mount (there is no space on our handlebars

I have made my pre-order, but I do have a gripe.
Many companies will not charge you until the product has shipped.
Enough said.

Fair enough...

We try to be forthright about things, including this.
Our webstore is quite primitive; we set it up nearly 7 years ago.
Our current system can't "hold" payments until shipment; the credit card info will disappear after a while. This is one reason why we are offering additional incentives for pre-ordering. Once we start shipping the incentives will disappear.
Please note that we will refund any payment immediately upon request.

Re: You speak, we listen: pre-order options
Since I actually need both, how can I order "the other"?
Re: You speak, we listen: pre-order options
I see that many wish that a GPS function was available. That would be nice.
But I have a simpler wish: How about a compass ? When I ride in a new area with or without a cue sheet, I am always wondering what direction I'm riding in. It's a drag to pull out my iPhone to use that compass...
Perhaps in the future????

Boy, you sound like an ideal candidate for the Dash + Power...aytchkay wrote:I see that many wish that a GPS function was available. That would be nice.
