Additional battery question

Hi

Brand new to the Powerhouse!
On the Powerhouse is there anything that indicates the additional battery is connected and helping? Other than waiting to see if you run out of power on your iphone/touch way to early!
What would indicate it is time to swap batteries? When the iphone/touch is almost dead? or is there a better way to judge?

PH workouts last for 1 to 2 hours. No need to take an extra battery with you.
