Hello
The instructions say to press the left arrow to see the battery level. On my up to date Newton this button appears to do nothing.
Given the unit's propensity to lose charge if not used for a while I really would like to know the battery level before I depart so can only tell me how I find out please?
Thanks
Andrew
Battery level
Re: Battery level
Please confirm the version of FW you are using in Isaac, with the command Device/S-N and FW version.
Clicking the left arrow one time should show battery charge. What happens when you do this with your Newton? What does the screen say?

Re: Battery level
Really sorry for the delay in replying - I was waiting for an email notification that didn't arrive.
My firmware is 5.02.
Pressing the left arrow, either briefly or for a few seconds does absolutely nothing.

Re: Battery level
Well, it seems I'm unable to do a hard reset (press/hold left+right+down+centre). I've even used a flat object to press them all at the same time to no avail.
Could it be that my "left arrow" button isn't working?

That might be the problem. Please email Tom Gore tgore@technicalsupport.com for next steps.
