Cm question

I've read that Cm is set to 1.02 to represent 98% efficient drivetrain.
I'm an engineer working on a rear hub transmission, and would like to know if there is a way to change this single value to something which represents different ratios of the drivetrain (I realize this is most likely a software change, but wonder if it could be possible in the future).
I believe I can change that single value to represent an average efficiency of my hub. Is there anyway to make it tie into ratio?
