I velocomp, the ios 6 have a new map system.
Have you check if you will be abble to use this new feature to create a real map and gps trace for you apps.
It is the only bad point still in you apps, cause your apps and product are not only use by competitor but also by some family or bike who juste whant to use your product to get map and some information about, speed, cadance, heart rate, altitude, gps trace( tofollow a trace or import a roadbook!)

We downloaded iOS 6 at WWDC; at that time it was so buggy we had to remove it from our iPhone!

We most definitely plan to take full advantage of iOS 6 as soon as it is released.

Cause iOS 6 will change a lot about the MAP apps, it is the good time to VELOCOMP to creat a new feature.
I propose:

FEATURE ABOUT MAP:
-Possibility to create a group of roadbook and name the group and the road there are in the group.
-import export roadbook like .gpx file.
-Colored trace GPS road.
-possibility to choose color for type trace.
-possibility to choose GPS delay record to increase battery life.
-possibility to activate automatic orientation map
-possibility to zoom or unzoom the map during the ride
-a full map screen like ibike apps

FAETURE ABOUT INTERFACE:
-Statusbar colored ( charging, charged, on iphone battery
-Ibike interface are very strong cause you can custum a lot of thing and the home screen is better visible than ibike coatch app

FEATURE ABOUT SHARE:
-a network share system server/client like pocket money apps
-Possibility to backup and restore by network
-perhaps a database for ibike user for create a aera for sharing map gpx file and a search bottom in the app to download the roabook of user who share it in the database

We have good news we will be announcing shortly, but not about maps. We've been working on other things...

take a look on the app Map 3D on apps store.
It is a very strong app you could try to get part of this app to put in ibike app!

We have done some checking. At this time Apple isn't allowing 3rd party developers access to their Map app turn by turn instructions.

So, we will have to go a separate way.

Sorry but english is not my native language so what you mean is you will have to create a new MAP system? cause you can't use apple map system??
So how Map 3D app do to have a great map system?
Are you abble to creat a similare map system to included in ibike apps?

I velocomp, so have you some good news about a MAP Roadbook system?

I have to think that until Apple manages to provide the bulk of the Mapping solution (or some third party other than Velocomp) you will have to wait - this is a very costly feature were Velocomp to attempt it on their own. If Apple gets the Map fixed and adds useful APIs (programming hooks), then I bet they jump on board to provide the capability The fact that Apple and Google are not "comrades" is not a surprise, nor the fact that Apple would rather maintain the maximum control of their environment - something that was never there in the PC market, overall. You may not have heard, but the VP at Apple who was leading the map effort was offered the door when he would not apologize for the deficiencies in the IOS6 version of Map.

So I would suggest at the very least - be patient and see what Apple does first - if you have to ask anyone - ask Apple for their plans, first. And do not expect an answer until it (a map fix or alternative) is publicly available from them.

Take a look on the apps co-rider, it is a turn by turn gps for bike!! you can programme your travel so perhaps you can use some feature!
Thanks for your works but map and gps track are very importante feature who are missing to your apps!

Cyclemeter GPS seems to be a better fit for the cycling crowd.

Looks like the Wahoo ANT+ plugin will work for added data capture but of course no power ---

Thanks Tom for your apps but i tryed this one cyclometer but it was more ergonomic than ibike apps, there are prety gps feature with GPX import export but creation road gpx are not in this apps.No metter, we can use other to create and transfert gpx to cyclometer!!!!
Icloud feature are very interesting!!!!!! with the ipad version to.
No landscape but...
Not compatible with ibike hardware but i m figuring to get wahoo product to get full cyclometer apps feature acces.

So VELOCOMP, i dont understood why you said to me than apple blocked MAP feature cause other part succes to use it!!!!!

So you should bring ICLOUD and MAP feature in the future update if you want to keet your client.

Maybe an ipad version for icloud use like an roadbook, gpx map creation for travel prepare to export it by icloud in iphone to use travel we have created on ipad.
Please... i appology the apps creation are very difficulte but you could get a lot of money if you sell a perfect apps compatible with your phone case.

If anyone know how to create an ios apps, please help VELOCOMP to create a wonderfull apps. Help them to improve bikers using ibike product.
