New user, Tilt and Calibration ride problems

I'm probably doing something wrong, but I can't get my iBike Dash to complete either "Tilt Calibration" or a "Do Calibration Ride." Both processes are clear and seem pretty simple but....

I've tried to do Tilt Calibration 8 times, all of them end with the message "Tilt calibration failed - try again." The process is simple so I don't know what I could be doing that is wrong.

I then set out for a ride and started by warming up and doing a "Calibration Ride" 4 times and all of them failed. I don't remember the message, but it was something about number sign being wrong, I think. I originally did the first run on a 4 lane wide road so thought that the return 40 ft. away from the first "lap" may have been the problem. So I went to a smaller road and followed the exact path (middle of the road) for the two laps.

Help, please.

These calibrations work only with the + Power. If you own an iBike Dash CC or Deluxe, these do not apply.
