AeroPod, PowerPod and Newton

spent today trying to get a coast down test finished. i live in wisconsin so just getting the wind offset to drop anywhere close to zero is enough of a problem. rode around looking for a location where the wind would not be so bad as when exposed in some places. attempted several times to get this to work. let it coast down and kept getting "bad calc" before it would switch to the numbers again. am i better off just living with the cda functions or am i doing something horribly stupid in trying to get an ipro iii set up properly?

If you're outdoors and trying to do a wind offset prior to coast downs and cal ride, just cup your hand over the front of the iBike, where the wind port is. This will block the wind and allow you to get a good wind offset. Remember: the purpose of the wind offset is to set the electronics so it knows what zero wind is. If you do a wind offset with wind blowing into the wind port, then the wind offset will be wrong and you'll get bad results.

Also, make sure your tilt calibration is correct. Your iBike should say "Good Tilt" after completing your tilt cal.

Finally, when doing coast downs in windy conditions, make sure to coast down INTO the wind.

If these things are correct, and your mount is rock-solid tight, you should get good coast down results.
