crosswind

Post by mxfarm »

Saturday did a east/west ride ( hdgs of 90°out 270° in ), wind was 190°-200°. It sure didn't appear that the power readings on the inbound leg matched what I thought was my output. At the end of the ride I rode about .5 mile south into the wind, just to get a comparison.

I guess my basic question is - is there anyway to get a more accurate power reading with cross winds? Of course that's assuming this wasn't accurate. I will say it didn't 'seem' accurate.

Any opinion?

marc

BTW, I'm a old (53), big guy 6'2".
