Post by Bike4Him »

Is there a way to use Isaac to view Powertap ride files?

Yes. When you ride with your iBike and DFPM together, you can either set up your iBike to record the DFPM data (assuming it is wireless), or you can record your DFPM file separately.

In Isaac, use the Tools/Power Meter Comparison feature. You'll see your DFPM watts data.

If you record your watts data separately, when in the Power Meter Comparison window, use the "Add" button. Select your DFPM file, then follow the screen instructions to complete the process.

I have a wired unit.
I prefer Isaac and wanted to check it out with my Powertap.
I don't think I can use Isaac with dfpm unless I record the info on the iBike.

You need to download the PT data and save the file as a CSV. A buddy of mine has the same setup. Download the PT ride with WKO then export copy as "CSV". Save the file and "merge" the csv file with the ibike ride in Isaac. Works like a charm.

I am trying to do this without using an iBike along with the PT.
Basically I want to analyze my PT file in Isaac.

To view DFPM files in Isaac you need to have an iBike file from the same ride to go with it.

Just curious: why do you want to use Isaac software to view your PT file?

I had a wired iBike and now have a Joule 1.0
I like Isaac and the presentation of the info from the iBike.
I do not like PowerAgent and Golden Cheetah and frankly don't like the powertap much anymore either.
So, I pay for WKO+ or sell it all and buy a Newton.
