AeroPod, PowerPod and Newton

I have a Garmin 705 and Garmin Heart Rate Monitor Strap and cadence/speed sensors. I am looking to purchase a Newton+ and am wondering if my Garmin HRM and strap will will work with the iBike Newton or do I need to purchase the newton heart rate strap. (also does anyone have any opinions of the sensitivity of each Garmin vs Ibike HRM strap and if one does a better job over the other?) Thanks for your help.

My Garmin HRM strap worked with my iBike GenIII so it should work with the Newton. I don't bother with HRM any more.

I have never used anything but the Garmin sensors - HRM, Cadence/speed - never a problem with any of them iBike or Newton.
